[Heat. A shiver rolled down Noctis' spine, a tension that pulled itself in before dropping into a warm wave of pure arousal. Every ounce of pride he'd felt at Prompto thinking of him in a moment of need transformed into something dirtier-- no virtuous pride, just a smug sort of victory. Prompto absolutely had decided he needed Noctis. It confirmed so much, put so many of their interactions lately into a brilliant new light.

He shouldn't, he needed to do something. Distance. He was older, he had a responsibility.]

Where are you?

[Oh, but he was already replaying those gasps in his memory. Rearranging every fantasy he'd ever had to fill in the blanks with freckles and bright blue eyes. He did have a responsibility. Prompto trusted Noctis enough to call him for help. He should do his best to rise to that, show Prompto that his trust wasn't misplaced at all. That Noctis could take care of him. Would take care of him.

He couldn't risk some other Alpha finding his Omega.

His skin crawled at the thought as he balanced his phone against his shoulder, struggled a little to get his car door unlocked and open. He took a deep breath as he settled down into the driver's seat. Keep a level head, Caelum. Don't take advantage. Don't give in to instinct. Shit.

He'd been burying a lot of feelings lately. Trying to pretend for the sake of keeping their relationship appropriate. If Noctis was going to be honest, he wanted this. He'd hoped for this. He'd love to blame it all on shitty alpha instincts, hormones and chemical reactions firing off in his brain that he couldn't control. But that was a cheap excuse. None of it was ever out of his control. There was a flip side to that coin, wasn't there? He could trust himself. He could trust Prompto.]

You at home? I'm on my way, okay?
